Friday Record Party: Cleanup In The Produce Aisle

Songs With Fruits, Vegetables — and Whatever Else You Find in the Produce Aisle — in the Title

Inspired by the daughter’s request for songs featuring fruit and after heavy consultation with BPMc3 and Lester, we expanded to include the rest of the produce aisle.

Full Credit: The Song Title includes the name of a fruit, vegetable or whatever else you may arguably find in your local produce aisle.

1/2 Credit: The song is about fruits, vegetables and preferably includes them in the lyrics.

0 Credit: The band name includes fruits, vegetables. We only resort to this if we have a lack of imagination, understanding or there just aren’t enough Full and 1/2 credit songs out there.

Don’t Know How To Participate? Read This:

  1. Think of a song title.
  2. Search for the song title in the little search box in the Seeqpod HollaWalla widget above.
  3. Scroll through the results list to find the song you want.
  4. Click on the song.
  5. Click on the play button to see that the song is playable - sometimes they aren’t. (Seeqpod scours the tubes of the internets to find song files that people have posted on the blogs and websites. They index them and make them playable for us. Aren’t they nice?)
  6. Once you are happy with your selection, click the little button to the right of the song that says “Add to the Walla”.
  7. This will give you an opportunity to put your name in so the world knows how clever you are and put a comment in so the world suddently realizes how clever you actually aren’t.
  8. Return to the Walla side of things and see what songs others have added and said. Oftentimes there are ‘mini conversations’ going on in people’s comments that can lead to fisticuffs and hurt feelings all in the name of music!

Sidenote; If you just heard a large crash or your display flickered it was because I just threw my laptop against the wall. Love the corporate IT things they surreptitiously lay on your machine to make it ‘run better and safer’ but ultimately drag it to its knees.

The Hidden Cost of War (via Chewbacca2000)

Nice graphics to show what it all adds up to. And during this debate season a reminder of how Bush & Kerry nitpicked in 2004 to no avail over how much the war would cost — back when it was $225Billion.

In this case, these are songs by Eic Johnson’s (also of The Shins) Fruit Bats — these would not be acceptable Friday Record Party Fruit Theme Song Entries (Lester!).
