In case you need to plan ahead, here’s a list of all the Chester County fireworks locations for July 2009. I’m awaiting some updates from a few locations and will add those when I get them.
CHESTER COUNTY 2009 Fireworks:
Parkesburg: JULY 3rd At Minch Park in Parkesburg, PA as part of the Parkesburg Fire Company Carnival. Info here. (Thanks, Christy!)
Downingtown: JULY 3rd United Sports Training Center 1426 Marshallton-Thorndale Rd, Downingtown. 5PM to 10PM - Live Bands, games, classic car show, food, crafts & vendors. Go2USTC.com 610.466.7100
Downingtown: JULY 4th Fireworks at 9:30, with entertainment all day at Kerr Park, Pennsylvania and Warren Avenue. Part of Downingtown’s Good Neighbor Day festivities. A full day of family goodness. Crowd avoidance tip from Debbie: “By the way, you can see Kerr Park fireworks from the CCIU!”
East Goshen: Heard from several folks that these were cancelled this year.
East Marlborough: JULY 4 Longwood Gardens Ages 16 & over: $34/Passholders: $27; Ages 15 & under: $18/Passholders: $12 Buy tickets online or by calling 610-388-1000 ext. 100. For the best viewing experience, please plan to bring a lawn or camping chair. Find out more about using your chair to reserve a spot for the Fireworks display. 1001 Longwood Rd., Kennett Square.
Exton/West Whiteland: JULY 5th The West Chester Band 7:15PM Fireworks 9:30PM. Albert C. Miller Memorial Park, 220 Miller Way Exton PA.www.wwhiteland.org. JULY 5th.
North Coventry: JULY 3RD- Matinee Ride Special (2pm-5pm) All you can ride for one price ($12)—-“Fireworks Night” Fireworks go off at 10:30pm, at the Norco Fair, fair from June 29-July 4, Route 724 east of Route 100, Pottstown.
Nottingham Freedom Fest: JULY 4TH 10:30PM Nottingham County Park, 150 Park Rd.www.chesco.org/ccparks. $10 parking fee. Rain date 7/5
Phoenixville: JULY 3 - Part of Phoenixville’s First Friday Celebration.
Tredyffrin and Easttown: JULY 4 joint celebration at Wilson Farm Park, 500 Lee Rd., Chesterbrook. Tredyffrin Township Concert by Ben Mauger’s Vintage Jazz Band at 7, fireworks at 9. Free.
Uwchlan Township: JULY 11 Celebration beginning at 4 p.m., fireworks following at Lionville Park, Devon Drive. The self-proclaimed “Best Fireworks in Chester County”
Coatesville: July 11 Fireworks at Gateway Park located at the corner of 1st Avenue and Historic Lincoln Highway in downtown Coatesville follow the annual Graystone Ice Cream Festival
Non-Public Events with potential remote public viewing opportunities:
Frazer (East Whiteland): JULY 4 Chester Valley Golf Club, Dusk. (Private Country Club Event: supposedly, you can watch in your car from Great Valley School District parking lot on Church Road)
Exton / Downingtown: JULY 3 Whitford Country Club, start time indefinite (9:00 ~ 9:30 P.M.) (Private Country Club Event: Supposedly you can see from Lowe’s or Dambrosio Dodge parking lots on Route 30)
